Radsource Adds Radiologist, Stephen F. Quinn

Quinn, M.D. "The addition of Dr. Quinn continues our tradition of hiring only the best and brightest", stated Radsource President, Dr. Mark Awh. "Dr. Quinn's training is superb, and in addition he has a wealth of clinical experience in MRI interpretation. We were particularly impressed by Dr. Quinn's contributions to the radiology literature. His extensive bibliography includes some of the truly seminal work in the use of MRI for the diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders." A short biography of Dr. Quinn follows.
Stephen F. Quinn completed both his undergraduate studies and his medical degree at the University of North Carolina, graduating with honors in both cases. His internship and residency were performed at the University of Virginia, under the direction of renowned musculoskeletal radiologist Theodore E. Keats. Dr. Quinn then completed a fellowship in Body Imaging and Interventional Radiology at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Quinn has over nineteen years of experience as a valued clinician, educator, and researcher. In addition to private practice experience, he has held positions, often concurrent with private practice, as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center and at the University of Oregon, where he held a dual appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery.
Dr. Quinn's contributions to the radiology literature can only be described as remarkable. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles and has presented his findings at numerous radiology and surgical meetings. His landmark articles in musculoskeletal MRI include the some of the initial reports on the use of MRI for the evaluation of the Achilles tendon, osteomyelitis, patellar tendonitis and chondromalacia, extremity foreign bodies, tarsal tunnel syndrome, fibromatoses, the biceps tendon, hip fractures, and meniscal tears with arthroscopic correlation.
Dr. Quinn resides with his wife Laura in Eugene, Oregon. When not practicing radiology, he spends most of his free time with his three children, helping with homework, playing sports, or coaching.
